It’s taken me several days to do this because my son had his standardized testing last week. I finally finished making over Cypress Terrace! I pushed it really hard towards a more modern look. To me, that means super sleek and clean with very little clutter.
Very little clutter = I love it! LOL
It’s made me really want to get my hands on that Landgraab lot…..
Ophelia Villa makeover is finally complete! (I really should have recolored the top of that half wall oops lol).
I did this for @jodeebradley14 since it wasn’t a lot I was all that interested in redoing. However, I really like the way it turned out. It took me a couple of days because I had a hell of a time deciding on the wall colors!
I changed the exterior colors, the 3rd floor room is much larger and is now a master suite with a private balcony, the second floor was a little reworked as far as the room shapes go, I also added a basement exercise room.
Parkshore makeover …. ignore June Kay, she’s my tester b*tch (lol) and is the only sim in my build save.
I tried to go for a lighter color scheme this time and it was such a struggle! I swear, I almost broke out in hives over it (lol).
Changed the exterior colors and some of the shape (the stupid rounded balconies that EA never gave us so you can’t delete or recolor them!!!), gutted the interior to start over with the rooms and furniture/decor. By gutted, I mean deleted all the rooms and moved the stairs over so they made more sense. Then made new rooms, I only left the footprint of the lot and the shape of the house intact.
I feel exhausted! I knew this lot would give me fits because it’s floor plan is sooo bad. I changed the exterior color and had to redo the front porches because some of the trim couldn’t be recolored OR deleted! All I did was enlarge the house 1 block towards the back so I could make two children’s rooms. The house footprint is the same but I changed the rooms up.
I had to restart this stupid house twice, it gave me such a hassle.
I love it now and it will go into my combined legacy saves and maybe one day one of my sims will move in to it. I reserved all the 30×40 lots for my sims and put townies in small lots.
And I think you guys can see that I prefer dark palettes, I do try to lighten up the kids rooms though!
I’m bored and have too many posts in the queue. So, decided to take on the challenge of redoing some EA lots.
This was the Oakensted. I redid the exterior colors and landscaping. Changed up the rooms. I forgot why I don’t like this lot! The ground is jacked up. It’s all warped and bubbled. You’d think they would have fixed that by now.
Floor color changed on the room below. Forgot to get a new screen, oops! I also added curtains everywhere but it’s mostly the same.
My next project is Umbrage Manor. I wasn’t going to do it because the floor plan is such a hot mess. Decided I wanted the challenge, so the first thing I did was change the shape of the house a little and make it bigger. Also, gutted everything inside and changed the exterior colors. This one is gonna give me a headache!
IT IS FINISHED! Click the above screens to enlarge them.
I have finally finished this f**king house! Yes, it took me two days and annoyed me so much that I started calling it that. The upstairs made NO SENSE. I wound up just removing all the rooms and starting over with it. I really liked the exterior of this house and wanted to use it (although I changed the colors and landscaping and everything lol).
I feel like it’s Evi but a more mature Evi. She’s an adult now and the house shows that.
I showed some of these screens earlier as a WIP and this is the final product.
I still have to do Sera’s house and then I’m done with Newcrest. I’ve already finished Willow Creek and Oasis Springs (completely redid every single house and then removed all CC from my main sims houses).
And poor Dani….she got married and moved out and her parents turned her room into a home gym. How rude!! LOL
