Joaquin stares at the Crain children who just smile and stare back. They were born with silver spoons in their mouth and are very well versed in how upper class children should behave.
They remain silent until spoken to and smile politely while the adults converse.
Joaquin waves at them, wondering if they ever speak.
Joaquin: “Um, hello?”
Matthew: “Shh…..you shouldn’t talk unless mother says it’s alright.”
Elizabeth just nods and doesn’t say a word.
Matthew: “Yes, it’s the way you show you have manners and were raised properly.”
